Can I use them on a newborn?

How tight should the diaper fit?
The diaper should fit snugly around your baby's waist and legs without causing discomfort. As a general guideline, you should be able to fit about four fingers between the waistband and your baby's tummy. The leg openings should sit comfortably without leaving deep red marks
How does the Magic Wand Wetness Indicator work?
The Magic Wand Wetness Indicator is built into the front of every Fairywell diaper. As moisture reaches the indicator, it changes color to let you know your baby's diaper is becoming wet, helping take the guesswork out of diaper changes.
What color does the Magic Wand change to?

Do I need to wait until the entire indicator changes color?
No. If your baby is sensitive to wetness, you can change the diaper as soon as the Magic Wand begins changing color. There is no need to wait until the entire indicator has changed.
Will the Magic Wand continue working after washing?
Yes. The Magic Wand is designed for repeated washing and normal cloth diaper use.
What if the Magic Wand doesn't return to white?
If the indicator does not return to white after air drying, place the diaper in the dryer on low heat. This will usually reset the indicator back to its original color.

Do I need to rinse diapers before washing?

Can I wash Fairywell diapers with other laundry?

Can I use fabric softener?

Can Fairywell diapers go in the dryer?
Yes. Inserts may be tumble dried on low heat. We recommend line drying the diaper shell whenever possible to extend its lifespan.
If the Magic Wand Wetness Indicator does not return to white after air drying, tumble dry the diaper on low heat to help reset the indicator.
Why do you recommend line drying?
Line drying helps protect the waterproof layer, elastic, and fasteners, extending the life of your diaper while reducing wear from repeated heat exposure.
What detergent should I use?
Use a detergent that rinses cleanly and does not contain fabric softeners. Always follow the detergent manufacturer's instructions.
How do I know my diapers are clean?

What is the difference between a swim diaper and a regular diaper?
A swim diaper is designed specifically for use in water. It helps contain solid waste while remaining lightweight and comfortable when wet. Regular diapers are designed to absorb liquid and will become heavy and swollen in water, so they should not be used for swimming.

How many do I need?
Because it's quick-drying and machine washable, most families only need two — one in use, one as backup for pool days.
How often should I check it during swim time?

How do I wash it?

Avoid hot water — heat can set stains permanently and cause the absorbent layers to break down faster. Avoid fabric softener too, which wears down the absorbent layers over time.
